The PCIe I/O bus is available on "recent" HPE Integrity Itanium
systems. Specifically, the PCIe gen2 bus is provided.

I'm not aware of support for NVMe or similar storage directly on the
PCIe, though SSD via specific storage controllers is supported.

HPE seems to prefer to sell FC SAN SSD here, and particularly 3PAR.

HPE does offer what they refer to as "workload accelerator" NVMe using
803197-B21 and 803195-B21, though I don't know of any OpenVMS support
for that.

There's also a "fun" footnote around for that gear, too: "NOTE: These
adapters 803195-B21 and 803197-B21 will be on R&D engineering support
only for 2 years after EOL date."

There was an NVMe discussion around here in the comp.os.vms newsgroup
back ~three years ago, FWIW.

There's no NVMe discussion on the current (January 2019) VSI roadmap.

If y'all want or need NVMe or ilk, do ask VSI.

For priority handling and best results, write your request in the notes
section of a check with enough zeros on the face.

As for the OP, the answer here will probably be the usual one for these
third-party hardware support questions: "try it, and let us know".
