Donno.

Old code often takes some tweaks, and error reporting and related 
details are far too often lacking in example code.

Would you like me to port it, polish it, and support it?  That can be arranged.

More generally, you're either well along on your port off of OpenVMS or 
to VSI OpenVMS, and here addressing an issue in the legacy 
configuration.  Otherwise, a temporary C license isn't going to help 
you much past this (small) hurdle.

There's no end of these security updates.  That's the software 
treadmill we're all now on, support contracts or not.
