Depends on what you concider to be a "remote system".
I can easily let BACKUP create a saveset on a remote IBM SAN
storage system. Well, all our storage (disks) are placed there,
but anyway. Don't even know where it is, I think it is at the
other side of town from the location where our VMS systems are.
So they are "remote" for sure.
But then, we do not even use BACKUP for backups at all. I almost
never user BACKUP to anything since many years back. I sometimes
use BACKUP to "read" a log file that is open by process owning it.
