It seems that some feel compelled to bash DECnet.

My most often use of DECnet is nightly backups.  I'd invite those 
bashers to explain to me how to do a direct BACKUP to a save set on a 
disk on a remote system.

Something such as:

$ backup/image/noalias/ignore=(LABEL,INTERLOCK) DISK0: -
         AS800::DISK2:[BACKUP]DFE90A_DISK0.BCK /save_set
