You might be able to find some mounting hardware that allows you to put 2.5" SAS/SATA drives in the 3.5" slots on a RX2620 but then you have a problem with the backplane being SCA-80 and not SAS/SATA. The other problem is that the RZ2620 has a PCI-X bus and the Pxx Smart Array cards are all PCI-E except for the P600 which has no external ports. What you can do is use a PCI-E to PCI bridge card (again see discussions by Rod Reigier and me "P400 in DS10") with a P411 with the external port and put the drives in an external SAS/SATA disk enclosure. A P811 has external ports but is a full height board and doesn't fit when using a bridge card.
PCI-e to PCI Bridge <https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-TO-PCIe-Bridge-Card-CHIPSET-PLX8112/233387975013> I've bought one and it works in my DS10. But these guys are S-L-O-W to ship. It took 3 weeks from New England to Texas. There are ones on Amazon but at 150% of the price. Might be worth it.
