About 20 years ago, divorced from my first wife, I often visited my son, 
who was then just starting school and lived with my first wife.  I set 
up a VT320 for him and wrote a menu in DCL which he could use to compose 
texts, send email to me, read email from me, and so on.  He became 
amazingly proficient in a short time (and of course I still have all of 
those emails).  A few months later, his mother got a PC, and his 
reaction was that it didn't have a proper keyboard!

Like father, like son.  :-)
