Can someone confirm that VAFS is now as dead as the Norwegian Blue and
that GFS2 is the only filesystem VSI will now be using for the new
filesystem ?

We know that VSI are using GFS2 (although, being GPL, how it will fit
into VMS remains to be seen) but I don't think we have seen an explicit
confirmation by VSI about VAFS other than the implied comments here in COV.
