Here the high fees are usually on the use of a card. Some go to
the business who have to pass them on to the customer in order to
stay in business. Some go straight to the customer. And in some
cases there are both. In the end, they all get passed on to the
consumer. Oh, and that diner I mentioned. Their food is very
good, the service is excellent and the prices are noticeably cheaper.
