Nope, that search turns up some interesting items from Jamie about
terminal lines stuff, but not the particular note I was looking for
(hmmm maybe it was on the Pageswapper board instead of comp.os.vms -
gotta look there now). It was very detailed, yet still very general, and
had a lot of description about, for want of a better term, "shifting
gears" about how you are requesting the data as the amount of traffic
shifts up and down. Well, I knew it was a long shot when I asked about it...
