Hmmm, is that a good choice?  pkgsrc is heavily dependent on BSD make, which is fantastic in many ways, but porting can be a different story...

However, if the aim is to have standardied package repository support, good dependency resolution, that sort of thing, i.e. a real package manager with all the bells and whistles an admin (not to mention package builders), there are quite a number to choose from...  all with their own porting problems, I'm sure.

I've favored APT for a very long time now, and had some thoughts of hacking together an APT-PCSI module...  but backed off when I found that the central APT bits need C++-14 :-/
Oh well...
