That makes it old news for those few in the know. It doesn't make it old
news for the rest of the VMS community. Just look at how many people
here considered it news that a port of Rdb to x86-64 VMS was confirmed
when Jan-Erik posted this information.

We've moved on from the days of secret decoder rings to get access to
the hidden knowledge. Given VSI's current position in the marketplace,
this information should be broadcast loud and wide to everyone who will
listen.

VSI is acting like it's still the DEC of the 1980s when bits of information
were released on DEC's terms at places like DECUS. DEC could get away with
that in the 1980s because it was the Apple of the day and because they were
large enough and powerful enough that they could do that.

Those days are long gone and VSI need to change their approach and start
doing marketing the way it is done these days if it wants to survive in
the longer term.
