The MCR command exists in a nebulous region of OpenVMS.

I tried to get rid of all references to the MCR command in the docs.

The choice was to either fully document and support it, or to remove 
the existing references to MCR from the documentation, while leaving it 
working.

But without opening up all the manuals, that expungement was doomed.

Another case of tribal knowledge.
