SYSMAN reminds of JOAT.  Lots of useful stuff all under one disjoint/tilted umbrella.

SYSMAN STARTUP was a great concept that fell short of the needs for some of the layered products while being just fine for others.  We got the "see figure one" from VMS engineering saying "SYSMAN STARTUP is great and if you just keep repeating that yourself, you'll eventually believe it".  Feh.  We stood together in solidarity and walked away.
