VSI has a PostgreSQL client that runs on OpenVMS and it talks to a PostgreSQL database server hosted on Linux.

Therefore a VMS application that addresses Rdb can be modified with Sector7 tools to address a PostgreSQL database hosted on Linux, while the application itself remains on OpenVMS. For example, SQLMOD is converted to C code that contains calls to the PostgreSQL client.
