I'm aware of their business model and the tools they have written
and for people moving off VMS, they can be very useful.

I'm reacting (strongly) to the fact that they claim VSI have partnered
with them to port Rdb users to Postgres(and elsewhere) and I'm asking
if that's a typo for Oracle Classic.

If they move people off Rdb to a Linux-based database, then why should
those same people stay with VMS for the rest of their application ?

VSI never said anything on their website about Oracle porting Rdb to
x86-64 VMS but have now made an announcement about a new partner and
the partner claims that part of this is to help customers move off Rdb.

Are VSI trying to go out of business ???

Simon.
