Why not?  It might work for some people.

"requirements" out there.

invaded with ransomware and such.  Are those the "common security 
protections" you're talking about?

Perhaps I'd rather be not as "secure" ...

"Standard" as in "known how to hack"?  Perhaps it's time for another 
direction?

Ok, I'll admit, I don't use VMS on the desktop.  Got to have my WEENDOZE 
bloatware.
