Born 1952 (still working 40-hours/week - coding)
I started off on a PDP-11/04 running RT-11. It wasn't too long before we saw a plethora of PDP-11/44 running RSX-11/M (and one running BSD-UNIX-4). Around the time that some of those processors were being upgraded to PDP-11/84 I was transferred to a group running a mixture of remote VAX-11/750 and VAX-11/730 systems running VAX-4.2. I say remote because within a 6 months of getting there, they were all cut over to two large VAX-8550 clusters (one in Toronto the other in Montreal) which were the biggest VAX systems in Canada for a very short time. I won't bore people here with the details but some of those systems were migrated to Alpha and one of them to Itanium.

p.s. I kept running out of disk space here ( http://www3.sympatico.ca/n.rieck/ ) so have been moving everything over to my new site which is hosted by IONOS somewhere in Texas.
