Agree. *VAX*/VMS must be the worst end to learn VMS. I have followed
this thread for a while and I would like to say, just forget about VAX!
If some IT museum or such would like to have a VAX running VMS I'm sure
that it can be solved. But for anyone else, VAX is dead as a dodo.

Or for a real Alpha, for that matter. I just copy the downloaded ISO
image to a SAN FC disk and boot directly from that. OK, you need another
system to make that copy from, but the *target* system does not need
any physical media such as CD or DVD. The whole FC setup and boot
configuration is done remotely.
