Tradition, especially for ftp, is to do the reverse DNS lookup, and then verify
by doing a forward lookup on the returned name. One of the A entries
(there can be more than one) should match the original address.

This protects against fake names in the reverse entries.

But more recently, there are so many bad DNS files that many
stopped doing that.
