[Info-vax] Help to eliminate delay in establishing FTP connection (VMS V7.x on VAX with MultiNet V4.4)

I want to close this off this thread.

First, thank you for pushing me back at DNS lookup.  I had made changes
to the DNS when I first tried to fix it for the customer, but I went
from memory, and my memory had me making changes to a file that was used
in an earlier version of MultiNet.  When I finally read the proper
version documentation, I realized the file I should have modified
contained forwarders which weren't answering.  Once I changed the
forwarders to something which was responding, I was able to get
immediate response.

Second, I appreciate that you took the time to read my long initial
message.  I realize that I didn't mention in that message that telnet
connections had no delay, which just goes to tell you that it doesn't
bother with a reverse lookup.
