Is this an Alphastation 400-233?  If so, it can run VMS if it has the 
SRM flash. Some systems have both the SRM/WNT flash chips, others have 
just one, WNT for this system if so.  Systems with just one chip can be 
reflashed if you can find the flash code and a floppy to boot it from.
