I "really" should let this slide by, but ...

It all comes down to ones and zeros, if you want to get that general. 
However, there are things available in VMS that are at least different, 
if not unique, compared to other environments.

Different does matter, if the task is to replace one OS with another. 
It's not "what could be done", it's "what is", when looking at the 
differences.
