does this OpenVMS VAX V7.2 system have a SYSDUMP.DMP file ? If so, is there a CLUE$COLLECT:CLUE$node_ddmmyy_hhmm.LIS file ? Could you post the contents of that file - at least the CANASTA parameters section, the first 30 lines of the kernel stack and the insturction stream ?

If the CLUE file does not contain the crash footprint anymore, you can re-create it using:

$ CLUE:==$CLUE
$ CLUE/OUT=SYS$DISK:[]clue.lis SYS$SYSTEM:SYSDUMP.DMP
