Based on the comments that followed this I can easily see why
Linux doesn't have it. Most of the BSD people either have been
around since this was popular or have followed the rest of us
rather closely. Linux people are mostly those with no real
long term history in the Unix (or other real OS) world and
would rather worship at the altar of Stallman than actually
do real computers and OSes.
