Instead of posting a generic test message to the list to see if it is working,
you could just post a relevant message... :-)

Or just send a private email to squaredancing-owner at rbnsn.com or
kenrbnsn at rbnsn.com (they end up at the same place).  The list has been quiet
lately (so, what else is new), but not dead...
