hello all
yes you are right ,I made other tests,
I replaced the internal rrd45 of my vax4000/100
(this internal rrd45 is alredy a replacement of the
originallly internal rrd42 that was broken ,not even recognized by the
console ) .I used an external rrd42 ,and it reads the cdrom...well I must
conclude that I have a very bad luck, the original rrd42 broke after 20 years
or so of use,I replaced it
by a rrd45 ,that does not work well enought (it is recognised by the
console, and vms ,mounts some cdroms ,not others ,send dozens of errors...
I have contacted the seller of the rrd45 ,he promised me one in good
condition.
So friends do not do the copy...thanks very much.
For those who do not know it ,on this cdrom
issued in 1997,there is vms5.4,5.5,6.0,6.1,decwindows ,lots of tools, bliss,
games for vt terminals ,decwindows games examples of dcl programs
etc.....very interesting, really it would be good to make it available ,but
also as separate files not only a global iso image for people (like me ,but
sure I am not alone) who cannot download big volumes.
Thanks to all for your kind and prompt help .
best regards alain nierveze
