On IA64, after installing 10.2.0.2, there is a mandatory Itanium catch
up patch to apply, 5840282. We also applied 5922715, 6643038 and
6800950.

We went to VMS 8.3-1H1 and 10.2.0.4 in January, patch 6810189. There
is another patch 8226395 that needs to be applied as some logicals
aren't defined correctly. It says AXP in the title but it is for IA64
also. We've been running like this since.

There was an issue in installing the grid control agent as a java file
is missing (ORA_ROOT:[LIB]ORA_JAVA_VMS_SHR.EXE), I copied the file
from the database installation's home's lib directory during install
into the grid lib directory and everything was OK. You'll also need a
copy of wget.
