[Info-vax] OT: Is a New Model Needed for (new) Breakthroughs?

Since tuesday I found myself in such a company so I know how fun it is. 
The reason there seem not only be to maximize profits but to keep a 
division that has been showing red figures the last 15 years living by 
draining all other parts of the company of their development.
It's not fun to be in the middle of it.

Agreed. There really should be an open season for Economists.
