Yes, I quite liked the VT52 originals; the ones I hated were 3rd party 
compatibles which were being actively sold long after every one else was 
using VT100s and compatibles (Tandberg and C-ITOH were a couple of well 
done ones).

The only problem I recall with VT52s was something which failed on a 
regular basis (PSU ?).  The official time for that repair was over an 
hour, or so our terminal & printer engineer told us. Poor lad, he hated 
the job.  For us it represented real downtime.
