Why /IGNORE=NOBACKUP? NOBACKUP is typically set on things like the PAGE
and SWAP files. The contents of which are meaningless if you shutdown
and boot from, say, the CD. All you need is the file header which will
defines these files (blocks incorporated within and the address (LBNs) of
said blocks); the content is irrelevant. In fact, the backup will go by
faster if you don't waste the time to copy this content.
Just issue:
$ MOUNT/OVERRIDE=IDENTIFICATION DISK1:
$ MOUNT/FOREIGN DISK2:
$ BACKUP/IMAGE DISK1: DISK2:
This will init the drive to a size appropriate to hold the files from the
old volume and maintain the label currently in use (which you many wish to
keep or you'll need to amend your startup mount commands.
