Ummm... no, it's supported.
If you click on the "RDB Product Compatibility Matrix" link on that
page (right side, in the section titled Quick Picks) then you'll see
both RDB v7.1 and v7.2 are supported on OpenVMS 8.x
I have a client running RDB v7.1 on OpenVMS Alpha v8.3, happily, for
some time now.
In addition, there were some e-mails today on the JCC RDB mailing list
about making the two technical forums available to non-attendees. I
ignored the e-mails (because I'm hoping to attend at Nashua), so I
don't know if it's going to be interactive. Maybe someone else can
get those to you.
