Oh ! The memories this brings !

This is what McGill university had for students in 1981-1983 timeframe.
Rugged. The computer was a 4341 with 8 meg of RAM supporting 149 users.
(at 150, we kmew it would crash :-)

I was the first year where no course required used of punched cards.
Although one assignment was to punch one card with out name on it.

I was a student operator tending to the 1403, making sure there was
paper, removing paper jams, changing ribbons etc. These machines were
really rugged because students tended to be a bit rough with them when
their printout wasn't coming out quickly enough !
