DEC cabinets use unthreaded holes, but with the clips they become
compatible with the older style threaded holes style.
Seems current standard is square holes. But I guess the round holes are
still common enough for Apple to still be making mounting kits for round
holes.
It is interesting that the rackmount kit for the DS10L wasn't long
enough to reach the back rail of the Q5 cabinet (same as the cabinet for
RA80 drives), but the Apple rackmount can extend to a 36inch deep
cabinet. (AKA: Dec's equipment didn't fit DEC's cabinets, but Apple's
appear to be compatible :-)
