Mr. Roland.:
You are showing yourself as a very angry, bitter man. Mr. Phillipe
Vouters has been doing a GREAT service to the Linux community a long
time ago. With his UNINTERESTED help lots of people are, today, able
to connect to the internet using Linux and a 536/537 Intel chipset
modem. Without his contributions, the google group for Ubuntu binary
driver packages of the mentioned modems would not exist. I believe you
have taken too personal any of the statements attrbiuited to Mr.
Vouters and in the long run you will be proven as WRONG. Please, take
a deep breathe, relax and calmly re-read all the material, I bet you
will be surprised by what you will think then on. You have been tried
to get into reason previously in the linmodems.org mailing list, which
is a very authorized source in the so called Linmodems world,
regarding your impasse with Mr. Vouter but nevertheless you just want
to escalate things up. I believe that mailing list is the number one
authority in setting up software modems in Linux and I believe they
back up Mr. Vouters 100%. That is a bold sign of where the truth is
( I don't like to use such a heavy word but my limitations in english
writting -it is not my first language- make me use it).
And please, do not take the capitalized words as an intent to shout or
bully you, I just wanted to punctualize them.
I hope reason will prevail and we, all, in the future, might be able
to look this episode in the past and just smile and move on.
Regards,
Carlos.

P.S.: I am writting all this even knowing that Mr. Vouters does not
endorse the use of the packages from the google group page I
contribute to; bottom line: I don't care. I am volunteering to try to
do my best and I have the right to do it... or not.
