Did the same but reverse, haven the foggiest what PMDF is but i send
SMS to my phone by email (SMTP) via Exchange, i use VMS mail for SMTP
to Exchange to our phoneoperator to my phone and do it in DCL so I can
check workdays and workhours (dont like SMS at weekends), could do it
in any programming language but I like DCL for tings like this.
That (liking DCL) started with a book "Writing real programs in DCL"
some years ago (-91-92?) but thats not important.
Just a suggestion that vms mail can smtp so do it get more real time
than mobile instant (well its not realtime, takes about 1 sek, not 1
msek) mail notification anywhere the phone works.
Just pointing out an idea that worked for us.
