Well I know they are constantly improving their compiler technology
but this is probably a "maintenance mode" function rather than
"development". BTW, my previous post was only to prove that their
existing stable of software products was still yielding lots of cash
with very little effort on the part of HP. This means they've got two
alternatives:

1) keep doing the same until OpenVMS is sucked dry
2) port OpenVMS (and layered products) to x86-64 so HP can continue to
collect money from OpenVMS licensing.
