I though our average was 1.65, per year. But looking up the weather web
site, it says 2.175m of snow per year on average.
So far this year, we got 184cm, but we also got warm periods that melted
a lot of it so there isn't much accumulation.
Last year, we got 370cm.
But areas of canada vary greatly. Toronto gets just a few cm per year,
and each cm paralyses the city for a day.
The atlantic provinces get a ton more snow than we get because all storm
systems converge over halifax whether they come from the south or from
the west. For them a good snow fall is 60cm. (30cm is about 1 US feet).
In the rockies, places like Roger's pass measure each snowfall in metres.
