There is no such browser, since this is not an browser issue!
The mapping of ":P", ":-)" and so on is done by the *SERVER*.

They have probably *not* done any conversion at the time of the
migration. The mapping of ":P" to the img-tag is done at display
time by the server on-the-fly. The stored content is still ":P".
This is absolutely 100% standard forum functionallity today.
All complaints about this does absolutely nothing apart from
once again confirming that OpenVMS is "old" and those working
with OpenVMS are dinosaurs.
This have nothing but a negative impact for us that are working
professionaly with OpenVMS in an mixed environment and using
tools that others (non-VMS-ers) are used to.
Get real...

Yes, there are *other* issues with the migration (such as links
not working) but the imoticon is not a real issue. It's just
as it is.
