Yes, thst's more or less what I'd planned on doing to the data disks and 
the reinstall the OS on the system disk with my hobbyist license. Probably
not equivalent to the DOD-grade overwrite someone mentioned upstream but 
certainly enough to make getting the data more work than it would be worth.
