[Info-vax] Apache log rotation

I am new to supporting Apache and I too have seen this reference many times. 
What would be in "favicon.ico"?  (I know that it is an icon file, but is 
this name "favicon.ico" more or less a hard coded reference?  Can it be 
changed to another name?
