Just smears etc ad nauseum. The fact that he was black could never be
forgiveable for many.

The reason McCain didn't make it is because he is a very decent man, and
the right stuff to boot. Not subjects some republicans want to hear about
these days, unfortunately.

Still, the people get the government they deserve, good or bad...
