It's the way things are today. Everyone is expected to be running only
the latest version of anything. Windows 8 anyone?
My PC is running Windows 2000 Pro, and the e-mail client is Thunderbird
V2... They are up to version 17-19 or thereabouts, and the new versions
will not run on Windows 2000. Maybe not on XP either, don't know.
Not too much sympathy these days for anyone who wants to keep something
that isn't broke.
I'm really getting into pulling a copy down to my system(s) of anything
that I might be interested in. The internet experience isn't to be
trusted. Things disappear.
