If this is the direction things are going, I think it will be a big 
mistake.  Of course, it would depend just what "relicensing all products 
from VSI" means.

Now, if a customer is interested in moving their support on products, 
such as cluster licenses, to VSI, and VSI will provide support for just 
the cost of the support, that's one thing.

However, if a customer is facing substantial re-licensing fees, along 
with the cost of support, Some might feel "gouged" and not be so happy 
with VSI.  Such would not bode well for the hoped for re-birth of VMS. 
Might even be enough to re-start some of those paused porting projects.
