Why not remove the producer from the product name ?  And then add code
in PCSI to strip the first word of the product name if it is "DEC"
"COMPAQ" or "HP" ?

Since HP isn't about to start releasing new version of VMS layered
products, it isn't as if there is a conflict between two different C
compilers, one from VSI and one from HP competing for the same files on
the system, right ?
