Yes.  VMS can have up to 32767 versions.  :-)

Been there, done that.  Even loaded the old ones (via an old SETPARAMS) 
and rebooted.  No effect.

I never do that (except for node names, ALLOCLASS and so on, i.e. any 
parameter which can have MIN_ never has an absolute value in any 
MODPARAMS file).
