There is not a lot of room to work in these. I would not touch a working suplpy until necessary. Remember the old saying: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The act of removing the supply and letting it cool can cause a number of other things to show up. Given its age, there are likely "cold" solder joints that wouldn't show up until cool. Leave it alone.
Once it fails, then rebuild it.
