And the chassis fault light went out.
Nobody was there when it happened so we're not positive but the one change other than the powercycle was deleting an unused unit from the configuration; the drive for that unit had been previously removed (because that unit had been created only to test spare drives being put into stock).
I still haven't found any docs on what trips the chassis fault indicator. We'll find out if this was it because there are more drives to test in the near future, as well as one more SAN Switch 2/8 swap to test another spare.
