Solving the original problem only requires it to be set up
on two systems.  The VAX and the one with the savesets he
wants to move.

I looked and a binary of C-Kermit as well as the original
Kermit-32 for VAX/VMS were still there.

I doubt the more redcent stuff would run on a VAX, but you never
know.

Thus a good reason to stay with an older version for the VAX.

I still use it for moving stuff around to older systems that
have no networking, although I now have TCP/IP even on my old
TRS-80's so it get much less use.
