[Info-vax] Exploring a hard drive on a new Vaxstation

OP here - I've got my OpenVMS Hobbyist License in hand and spent a day installing VMS 7.3 on SIMH. Had so much fun I decided to do it all over again. Considered booting the 3100 over DECnet from my SIMH installation but I found my SCSI CDROM drive before I got DECnet working. Then I found I had the right DEC cable to connect it - when did I buy that? Anyway, the 3100 sees the CDROM, doesn't mean that it'll boot from it so we'll see. My issue now is Windows (10, XP) doesn't see the VMS Iso as a proper file for burning so I'm planning a Linux setup just to burn the CD. Lotsa fun. Once I get the 3100 booted I'll check out the hard drive but I just imagine it'll need a fresh install. I've learned a lot from the discussion above - thanks!
