"Best effort" is ok for some open source stuff but it isn't good enough
for an Ada compiler in a production environment.

It's a product that is going to be used for Really Important Stuff and
it needs to have the support to match. You can't just say to the customer
6 months later "sorry, but we don't know how to fix that. Goodbye.".
